Wasn’t it refreshing to have an actual Home and Business Expo that we could see our friends and neighbors at again?  In reality we skipped just one year, but it seemed like forever since it shutdown.  

The show was great, filled with local businesses all offering something special for our homes and businesses.  As far as crowd numbers, they were down a bit, but still strong nonetheless.  

Thanks to Katie, Michelle, Avery, Coreen and yes, even Dave, for all of your hard work to make this year’s show a success.  

We have just started reaching out to local businesses in regards to the 2022/23 Chisago Lakes Community Guide.  The guide promises to be bigger and better than ever. If you are a local business and maybe don’t advertise with us, this may be the one time a year you’ll want to.  That’s because our guide goes out to 20,000 homes and is also distributed throughout the area all year long.  Think of it this way, if you advertise in the guide, that one time purchase gets you an advertisement that lasts the entire year.  Pennies on the dollar weekly, really. I have had a decent amount of people recently ask me why I don’t comment on the war that Russia is forcing upon Ukraine.  My response is always the same, why would the public (you) want to hear from an uneducated person blowing hot air about something he has no idea what he is talking about.  Do I follow what is happening over there? Of course, it rips my heart out, but what is my lowly opinion going to do for you other than make you laugh at Matt the idiot rambling on again.  Sorry I got rambling again.

The Chamber recently hired a new office manager. Bridget Spiess took the position formerly held by Lori Doughty.  I have only met Bridget a couple of times, but I think the Chamber has a keeper.  She is so nice.  If you are in Lindstrom, swing by the chamber and welcome Bridget to the neighborhood.

We have drawn our subscription winners from the Home show drawing.  Winners are the Forslands, Bailey Todd, Bridget Anderson and Audrey Klimek will all be receiving their year’s subscription this week.  Thanks to the hundreds who entered the drawing.
