Smoke at the Evangelical Free Church on Olinda Trail, Lindstrom, reported about 9 p.m. Firefighters determined it was a malfunctioning furnace, all cleared.
A dog was struck by a hit and run vehicle and died on the road at Lofton and Stacy Trail. Incident called in by a bystander about 8:50 p.m.

February 26
Catalystic convertor cut off a vehicle parked outside of a garage on 314th Street, Stacy area.

February 25
A wolf was reported on the freeway south of #17 interchange, dead on side of traffic lane.  Wolf Center in nearby Anoka County/Stacy and  DNR alerted by local authorities.

Lakes Area officer found items of mail scattered near Eagla Ridge neighborhood in Chisago City. Collected and returned pieces to post office.

County had to have a disabled car towed from Itasca Avenue after complaints that it was obstructing plowing and a danger to road travel, also blocking a mailbox. Registered owner couldn’t be contacted.

Natural gas leak at address on Olinda Trail. Lindstrom Fire and Xcel handled, no injuries reported.  Incident called in about 3:30 a.m.

Report of ATV stolen from Chisago Lake overnight. Complainant identified unit and a Lakes Area officer recalled seeing a very similar one at the Lindstrom Municipal Bar parking lot just that morning. Turned out it was the “missing” ATV.
