April 28 A cat-savvy law enforcement officer used a laser light pointer on their TASER; to rescue a cat stuck about 40 feet up in a tree. There had been a bucket carrying treats sent up on a rope, looped over a branch, to entice the cat but the animal wasn’t cooperative. The tree was inaccessible as climbing branches were eliminated for about the first 35 feet from the ground. The laser light sent the curious kitty into the bucket and it was then lowered to the ground. The incident was at an address on Mapleridge Road.
An 18 year old driver was cited for failing to heed a school bus stop-arm.
April 25 shots reportedly fired from an address off St. Croix Trail, Amador Township and local police were asked to assist. SWAT was activated but the subject was cooperative and firearms were collected. No arrest processed at the time.
Vehicle reported parked in Shafer for days. The car turned out to be stolen from St. Paul. Vehicles were gone through near Glader Blvd., Lindstrom and Chisago Lake Township. Minor items missing, but one report of $5,000 in tools taken.
Power was cut off to building and apartment above when a sub-panel inside of Al’s Saloon in Center City heated up and started smoking. Situation was handled, reported about 6:30 a.m.
