October 15 a report of windows dumped at the lake access off 295th in Lindstrom. City and DNR will handle proper disposal.

October 14 a search for a juvenile who reportedly fled into a wooded area near Itasca Avenue, rural Chisago City, ensued after a call about 7:45 p.m. The effort involved a state patrol helicopter, a drone and officers from all local departments. Juvenile was located.

October 13 a Chisago Lakes middle school official reported a student believed to be under the influence and requested Lakes Area Police assistance about 10:30 a.m.  A knife was located allegedly among the student’s possessions and the student was not cooperative. There was an arrest and detainment at the regional juvenile center.

A football player was injured at the Chisago Lakes High School field and transport was needed. Call came in about 5:15 p.m.

October 11
Small ag-fires were reported around 390th and Keystone Avenue outside of North Branch, about 2:40 p.m.  Due to windy conditions and dryness of terrain deputies were dispatched to have the burns put out. There also had been no permit pulled.

A structure fire reported at 3 p.m. on Sylvan Avenue in Lindstrom. A cigarette ashcan was too close to the building and caught siding on fire, with minor damages resulting.

October 10 a car went off the roundabout at Pleasant Valley Road and Hwy. 8, about 7 p.m. with no injury reported. The vehicle ended up in the trees and the driver had no explanation on cause.

A chase was reported between a car driven by a fleeing felon with a passenger who was later found to have a warrant. The driver of the vehicle was not to be operating a car and his license was cancelled for public safety reasons— when a traffic stop was initiated near Harris. The subject allegedly drove off northbound at high speed and ended up at the Rock Creek exit, striking a squad car,  before being stopped. A passenger went to Pine County jail on fifth degree possession charges.

With furnaces starting up again the Lakes Area authorities responded to two C-O 2 alarm incidents, in Lindstrom. No injury resulted and no medical care was needed.
