Neva R. Noyd. age 80, of Taylors Falls, Minnesota passed away on October 21, 2022.  She was born September 17, 1942 in Amery, Wisconsin to John and Eva (Ingham) Jansen.  She grew up in the rural Turtle Lake, Wisconsin area.

Neva graduated from Barron High School in 1960 and married Luther Noyd on November 11, 1961 at Taylors Falls First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Neva attended County College for two years in Frederic, Wisconsin and later transferred to River Falls, Wisconsin to finish her last two years.   Neva then taught for a few years and then decided to go back to River Falls to get her Masters in reading.  

Neva and Luther had two daughters. Kathryn Noyd of Shafer, Minnesota and Vicki Ford of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Neva started teaching at Taylors Falls Public School in 1969 and retired in 2011 after 42 years.  Neva loved being a teacher and would go above and beyond to do what she could for her students.  Neva left behind a huge imprint on her family, community, co-workers and former students.  We were all extremely blessed to have her as our mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  

She is preceded in death by her husband Luther; her parents John and Eva Jansen; two sisters Mae and Joan; three brothers-in-law Leroy Barnes, Maynard Sellman, and Ken Haefliger.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy (Bob Ruthstrom) and Vicki Ford; sister Helen Sellman; grandchildren Rob Gibbs, Sabrina Ruthstrom, Reo Ford (Tanner Hamm), Tiffany Ford (Zach Pelnar), and future great granddaughter who arrives in February, Florence E. Pelnar; four nieces and two nephews and their families; and many many friends.  

We loved her very much and miss her deeply.

Funeral Service is at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2022 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.  Interment at Kahbakong Cemetery in Taylors Falls.
