A number of area law enforcement attended the 9-11 memorial program in Moberg Park Sunday.  

Lakes Area Police transported a couple of stray yellow lab dogs (males) to Northwoods Humane Society. They were picked up loose September 11 in Lindstrom, with no tags.

September 9 Emily Jo’s in Shafer experienced some damage to the building about 6 p.m. when a small fire caught hold believed caused by fireworks, a refuse bin for a nearby business also was burned.  Authorities are checking surveillance camera recordings. Shafer-Franconia firefighters were dispatched as well.

HayDays outside of Almelund, was relatively quiet this year compared to numbers of incidents related  in prior years. A mailbox was damaged when someone went off into the ditch and that’s about it.

Residential alarm sounded at an address in Sunrise Township. Deputies said a garage window was broken but the inventory of items possibly taken was incomplete. Call came in a half hour after midnight.

Lakes Area Police are holding photography equipment someone found in Chisago City, in bags. Call and describe to claim.
Air pumps for a commercial painting unit were taken from a homesite in Lindstrom.

The second day of school a student was ticketed for vape device in the high school.

September 6 a fire complaint turned out to be permitted and under control, on Olinda in rural Lindstrom, about 8:20 p.m.
