Chisago Lakes names Dietz new superintendent

At a special board meeting Tuesday night, the Chisago Lakes School Board voted to select Brian Dietz as the district’s next superintendent.

Dietz was previously the superintendent at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley since June of 2021. Prior to that, he was the superintendent of Centennial School District in Lino Lakes for eight years and also has been the superintendent of Waseca Public Schools.

Dietz will be replacing outgoing superintendent Dean Jennissen, who will have worked in Chisago Lakes for nearly six years by the time his tenure ends at the end of June.

The School Board will be conducting contract negotiations with Dietz, and a contract is expected to be approved by the School Board at the April 20, 2023, regular school board meeting. The pending start date for Dietz is July 1, 2023.
