St. Croix River fall victim identified
The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office has identified the person who fell into the St. Croix River Tuesday. Search crews had halted the recovery effort late Tuesday and returned Wednesday morning. The missing individual is identified as 18-year-old D'Andrea Sanvig, of Luck, Wisconsin.
Sanvig reportedly fell from a spot overlooking the river inside of Interstate Park, Taylors Falls, about 6 p.m. Chisago County started answering 9-1-1 calls for help within minutes, according to information distributed by the sheriff.
Agencies asissting the sheriff personnel in this effort included: Taylors Falls responders, Chisago City Fire Department, Almelund Fire, Stacy-Lent and Shafer-Franconia firefighters, the National Park Service, Lakes Region EMS and Minnesota State Patrol air units.
