River search Tuesday night/Wednesday
Tuesday, April 11 around 6 p.m. the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office began receiving 911 calls about a male who had fallen into the St. Croix River at Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls.  Initial information indicated he was 18 year old Wisconsin resident D'Andrea Sanvig, who had fallen off a rock ledge. Witnesses say the man lost his footing and landed in the St. Croix River.

An extensive rescue effort was launched with multiple agencies responding but efforts were unsuccessful and were paused at nightfall.

Authorities are asking the public to not search themselves because the river flow is relatively high and dangerous.
