Authorities went to Rushseba Township, April 14 in the area of 540th and Ivy Avenue, to search for a male reportedly past due for arriving at home by 11 p.m.  Law enforcement checked roadways and bars and found nothing suspicious. Later around noon the next day, Saturday, April 15, a report of a vehicle in a creekbed (Rock Creek) was checked out.  

The missing male was found deceased inside the vehicle. The medical examiner has not officially released the subject’s identity or any information on the cause of death.

A number of local agencies were also engaged starting April 11  in searching for a Wisconsin 18-year-old missing in the St Croix River.  D’Andrea Sanvig of Luck,  reportedly slipped and fell from Interstate Park on the Minnesota side, about 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Sheriff’s officials postponed this search until the river level lowers and spring flood debris has moved out of the area.

April 12 more egging incidents reported in Lindstrom on North Lakes Trail, Morley Drive.

Two cash registers were discovered in a ditch on Itasca Avenue, rural Chisago City, with no identifying materials inside. Serial numbers are being checked against reports in the data base.

An assault in the Chisago Lakes High School, Lindstrom,  about noon was broken up by school staff. Minor aged student cited for fifth degree assault.

April 13 Multiple fire agencies responded to a report about 10 a.m. of garage fire that spread to a nearby house, on Mary Street, across from the Lindstrom high school.  Re-kindled about 3:20 p.m. and firefighters returned to extinguish.  Cause not reported yet.

Three citations issued for vaping devices in possession at high school.

Sunday, April 16 a large burn pile generated some complaints and Lakes Area Police checked on the site, off Green Lake Trail, about 10:30 a.m. The burn was being done with a permit.
