Mary Koch
Born March 14, 1928, Mary Ann was raised in White Bear Lake, MN. She was the fourth of seven children. She married Dick Koch on June 12th, 1948, and had 16 children with him. Their marriage spanned 74 years. She was a talented quilter, a long-serving school board member, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband Dick and children, Amy, Connie, and Carl. As her cancer progressed, she often remarked about how she felt ready to find all four of them again in Heaven.
Those who survive Mary Ann include her children, Jackie Schumacher (Lowell), Mary Kay Valento, Dan (Mickey), Laura Hoffman (Tom), Cindy Boo (Chuck), Rita Wallin (Ernie), Larry (Kerry), Lenny (Angie), Anne Thomsen (Carl), Terry (Shelly), John (Christine), Joe (Lori), and Kris Feine (Tim); her sisters Kathy Hagkull (Ron) and Dorothy Feldmann; as well as her 40 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren; all of whom will miss her dearly. Visitation will take place Sunday, April 23 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 13060 Lake Blvd, Lindstrom, MN from 4-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Monday, April 24, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at St. Bridget's. Memorials preferred to St. Croix Hospice or St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church. Arrangements made with Grandstrand Funeral Home of Lindstrom, MN.
