Venzel Llewellyn Lindholm passed away on July 27, 2023 at St. John's Hospital. He was born April 9, 1927 in Harris, MN to Esther and Charles Lindholm. His elementary school was a one room schoolhouse called Willow Grove School. In the winter he and his older brother would ski to school to shorten the distance by a mile and a half. At the age of 17, Venzel enlisted in the Navy and was stationed in the Pacific for the duration of World War II. On October 18, 1947 he married Ruth Irene Widell. They celebrated 69 years of marriage.

They were living in St. Paul before they left for California with their young family. In California, Venzel went to work for his oldest brother to learn the electrical trade. When they moved back to Minnesota, they settled in St. Paul and eventually moved to Forest Lake. While living in St. Paul they attended Zion Lutheran Church, and after moving to Forest Lake and Scandia, they attended Elim Lutheran Church. He worked as an electrician for Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association (GTA) and Commonwealth Electric. 

After retirement they had homes in Scandia, Chisago City, and Venzel's last home was Senior Living in White Bear Lake. Their winters were spent in Arkansas, Missouri, and lastly Arizona. He was always a craftsman. While living in Missouri he built a studio where he created stained glass art for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, traveling, household projects, and singing. 

Venzel is survived by his three children; Robyn (Ron) Anderson, Steve Lindholm, Lori (John) Fredricksen and ex-daughter-in-law Darlene Luger; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Venzel was preceded in death by his wife Irene; his parents; his sisters, Evelyn Anderson, Hazel Carlson, and Violet Hokanson Olson; his brothers, LeVance and Hardy Lindholm. 

A private family inurnment will be held at Chisago Memorial Park Cemetery.
