Jacqueline Leah Bjork Houlihan 73, of Solon Springs, Wisconsin, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota on August 4, 2023, after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer.  Jackie was born May 15, 1950, in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. She was raised on the family farm in Shafer, Minnesota, the youngest of four children.  Jackie settled two miles from her parent’s farm to raise her family.  Jackie enjoyed time with her family, helping on the family farm, horseback riding, gardening, flying, and riding her Harley Davidson.  She worked at St. Croix Regional Medical Center for 45 years.  Jackie is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Georgia Nelson, husbands Russell Rue and Roger Bjork, and her sister Darlene Anton-Heilig.  She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband of three years, Mike Houlihan, her children Tom (Anne) Bjork, Janet (Robert) Krueger, Randy (Crissy) Rue and Michelle (Tom) Valvoda, 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, sister Sharon (Bill) Tretsven and brother Ron (Ellen) Nelson.  

A celebration of life will be held in honor of Jackie at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls, Minnesota.  Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota and one hour before the service at the church.  Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, MN.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com.
