Barbara Dyrdal



Barbara Dyrdal, age 83 of Chisago City, Minnesota, passed away on August 23, 2023. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on November 2, 1939 to parents Earling and Elizabeth Frasl.  She married David E. Dyrdal on January 12, 1957 and worked as Quality Control Manager at Plastic Products Inc. in Lindstrom, Minnesota, where she was employed for over 25 years

Barb dedicated her life to caring for her family as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She was strong in her Catholic faith, a member of St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom serving as a Eucharistic minister, prayer line, and wedding planner.  Barb volunteered her time at Parmly on the Lake to assist elderly with wheelchairs, prayers and communion.  She enjoyed music, dancing, time on the lake in the pontoon, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and in earlier days roller skating, spending time on their river boat, and snowmobiling.  While balancing work and family, Barb never missed school and sports events for her children and grandchildren.  Barb held her family and friends dear to her heart and truly cherished gatherings of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Earling and Elizabeth Frasl; parents-in-law Ingebrit and Edith Dyrdal; son David J. Dyrdal; daughter Dorren Jacobson; aunt Hattie Fortier; brother and sister-in-law Donovan and Anna Dyrdal, Daryl and Louann Lewis

Barb is survived by her husband David E. Dyrdal; daughter Jaquelyn (Jeff H.) Menier; son Eric (Gerilyn Jo) Dyrdal; grandchildren Brooke and Madison Menier; siblings Diane (Bob) Westphal, and Thomas (Judy) Frasl; godchildren Kathryn Renwick, Sueann Patraw, Mary Rhor, Antony Fortier, and Alexander Sagendorf; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at church.  Interment at Chisago Memorial Park in Chisago City, Minnesota.
