Joan Alice Frederickson (nee Carlin) was born on June 6, 1932, and passed away on November 30, 2023.  Joan spent her early years in St. Paul before settling in Lindstrom, where she was the head librarian for Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in Center City.  Her warmth, resilience, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Frederickson, sisters Helen and June and her brother Robert. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchild and many other cherished family and friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Interment will be at the Cushing Cemetery in Cushing, Wisconsin.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh. com.
