December 4 Vandalism observed in routine patrol check of Allemansratt Park, Lindstrom.  A small building was damaged.

Chisago Lakes High School student cited for vape device possession.

December 8

A check in a parked car was taken and thief-suspect attempted to cash it. The case has been sent to county attorney for possible charges.  Lakes Area Police handled the investigation.

A natural gas smell was thought to be coming from a property on 242nd about 

7:40 p.m. Chisago City firefighters discovered the smell emanating from an overheating battery charger, which was immediately unplugged.

A vehicle was being driven in a careless manner and a complaint was phoned into dispatch, which sent law enforcement to find the vehicle, and it was also reported stolen.  Vehicle located on Hwy. 8 about 9:50 a.m., female pulled into Holiday in Wyoming and fled into store, where she was eventually arrested. Forest Lake and state patrol squads were also on the scene.

December 10 “suspicious activity” report sent to a county patrol squad, which directed deputy to a storage unit in Stacy. He found a female suspect sought on a warrant from Scott County. She was detained for also being a person of interest in a Lakes Area Police felony investigation.
