East Ridge Quadrangular
The Wildcats wrestled in a quadrangular at East Ridge High School Tuesday, January 24 and won all three of their dual meets.  They crushed the hosts 63-18, beat Hopkins 45-25 and squeaked by White Bear Lake 42-38.  Four Wildcats went 3-0 at the quad:  Taden Morley (113), Andrew Novack (145), Brycen Morley (152), and Logan Bender (195).

Against White Bear Lake, the Wildcats trailed 29-6 after the first six weights, with the only win coming from a pin by Taden Morley at 113.  Four straight pins by the Wildcats, from Andrew Novack (145), Brycen Morley (152), Michael Amos (160), and Reed Bleymeyer (170), gave the Wildcats a 30-29 lead.  Stephen Weiss was pinned at 182, but Logan Bender pinned his opponent at 195 and the Wildcats led 36-35 with two weights to go.  Connor Frederixon lost 4-2 at 220, and the Wildcats trailed 38-36.  Chuck Gilman (285) came through for the Wildcats, pinning Ryan Kinds at 2:37 to pick up six points and give the Wildcats a 42-38 win.

The Wildcat wrestling team travelled to Princeton last Friday, January 27 and lost to the Tigers 54-19.  Individual winners for the Wildcats included Riley Palmer (120), Michael Amos (152), Reed Bleymeyer (160), and Chuck Gilman (285).
