Township office filing is open for just a few more days.  

Two townships in Chisago County hold elections with the November general ballot,  so Nessel and Lent are not accepting candidate filing at this time.  They do however, hold their annual meetings March 14 as do all the townships.  Meetings begin shortly after township balloting closes.

Townships with seats expiring and elections being held this March include:

Chisago Lake Township—which has a treasurer post and one supervisor seat up for election.

Franconia Township— has one supervisor seat on ballot.

Sunrise Township—There are two supervisor seats on the ballot.

Fish Lake Township—one supervisor seat is open for a three year term.

Shafer Township—A treasurer and a supervisor seat will be on the ballot.

Amador Township—One supervisor seat is expiring.

Rushseba Township— There are one supervisor and one treasurer slots on the ballot.

The deadline to file with your town clerk is January 17 at 5 p.m.
