Thanks Kevin and Laurie, don't worry the Celebration is still on
I can’t speak for them, so I won’t even try, but I will use this space to recognize them for their civic duty and love of the city of Lindtsrom.
I have known Laurie for a few years now and have always thought she was an outstanding person. She is always positive and looking for the good in people. I look forward to continuing our friendship outside of city business.
Mayor Stenson and I have known each other for years and years. I think the world of Kevin and have the utmost respect for him for serving in our law enforcement forever and then on the city council and ultimately as mayor. I wish nothing but the best for Kevin as he and Jackie start another new chapter in their lives, a much more relaxed chapter. Enjoy Kevin, and thank you!
Celebration of the Lakes is still on folks. Don’t let the bad ice conditions scare you. We still have some valuable ice-making days and nights ahead of us. Judging by the forecast, we will be making ice as soon as Friday with below zero temps continuing for some time. The good folks at the chamber will have some fun contingency plans if by chance the ice doesn’t cooperate. If you remember a few years back, we were in the same situation.
So, keeping with the Celebration of the Lakes theme, mark your calendars for the C-O-L cribbage tournament which will take place February 11 at the community Wildcat Center. The tournament runs from 4-7 p.m. with some great prizes being awarded.
We have the entire schedule of events on Page 15 and will soon be putting out a big spread on all of the fun taking place February 9-12 all over Chisago Lakes.
We will are still looking for vendors for the 2023 Home & Business Expo that takes place February 25-26 at the Wildcat Community Center.
