Ruben Hoffmann
His commitment to duty and service did not end there. When discharged from the Navy he applied for the Minnesota State Highway Patrol where he served in the capacity as a Lieutenant of field station Duluth, ending his 25 plus years of service. Later Ruben became involved in the Lion’s Club in Lindstrom Minnesota and was active in the community. He also then further branched out to become a member of the food shelf volunteers of Chisago City where he served for many years in helping to ensure the less fortunate were helped.
Ruben is survived by close family and friends; his son Glen P. Hoffmann and his wife Wanda J. Hoffmann; Ruben’s granddaughter Katherine L. Abou-Zeid and her husband Michael and lastly Gregory Ruben Hoffmann. Other honorable friends that contributed to the long and prosperous life of Ruben were his neighbors Jeff Biel and his fiancée, Seth and Katie Alsaker and Jan Rutledge all of Lindstrom, Minnesota. Ruben carried with him his great love of the church and God, and many times said that God had provided him with his faith and a long and well deserved life. Rest in Peace Father.
