Monticello Country Club

Despite Becker retaining a stranglehold on the Mississippi 8 Conference team events, Chisago Lakes’ keeps getting individual champions out of the meets.

After Emily Erickson won one last week, sophomore Kali Hanson won meet medalist honors at the Monticello Country Club on Monday, May 8.

The beautiful day was punctuated by Hanson’s 83, which was one stroke better than a pair of Becker Bulldogs in second and third place. She shot a 40 on the front nine and backed that up with a 43 with the sun shining on the first nice meet day for the girls this season.

Emily Erickson and Haley Overgaard shot matching 93s for Chisago Lakes, and Sydney Haus carded a 109 to round CL’s score out at 378 strokes, good enough for second place just two ahead of Monticello at 380. Becker won the meeting with a score of 348.

For North Branch, Ashley Bistodeau scored a 90 to finish in seventh place, and Olivia Weyenberg scored a 97 to come in 13th place. They did get a full team score in this time, with their varsity spots finished out by Annabelle Lattimore and Madison Thornborrow.
