Joseph D. Fortuna, age 54, of Chisago City passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at M Health Fairview Hospital in Wyoming, with his family by his side. Joe battled cancer for the past few years and is now at peace.

Joe was born on August 8, 1968 in St. Paul to parents, Thomas and Ronda (Santine) Fortuna. In 1973 Joe’s family moved from St. Paul to North Branch where Joe attended school.  He graduated from North Branch High School in 1987 and then went on to Vocational School later that year.  After working in a variety of positions, Joe went into business on his own, forming his own water softener company.  He loved working and interacting with customers. Joe grew up hunting, fishing, and playing sports and loved everything outdoors.

Joe is preceded in death by his father Thomas E. Fortuna and brother Thomas M. Fortuna. He is survived by his mother Ronda Santine (Terry Kraemer); brother David (Lisa); nephew, Conor; niece, Chloe. 

A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday.  Interment will follow the service at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in North Branch.
