November 5

A barn fire was reported about 8 p.m. Sunday, November 5 north of Center City at Little Lake Road.  Firefighters kept the fire contained to two structures, and horses stabled at the start of the incident were successfully moved to pasture. No cause was reported in the preliminary report.  Crews spent about four hours on-scene.

False fire alarm at address on Fairway Lane, Chisago City about 7:45 p.m.

An arrest of a female accused of domestic assault at an address on Justen Court. Incident called in about 9:35 p.m.

A burglary in North Branch at an address on 360th Street was interrupted in progress and two suspects fled. A pursuit got underway and led authorities to Wyoming Elementary School parking lot, where arrests were made.  Incident called in at 3:27 a.m.

An investigation by Lakes Area Police and the state on alleged theft of medications at a residential facility for developmentally delayed individuals, has been triggered by a report to local officials. 

A developer of lots on Parkview Circle in Chisago City is working with the city to comply with storm water control deficiencies causing neighbors to complain about run-off from allegedly no silt containment and sedimentation issues.

A student was taken to the regional juvenile center after an alleged assault at Chisago Lakes Middle School.  Authorities were dispatched about 9:20 a.m.

A black German shepherd dog was collected by Lakes Area Police in Lindstrom, and was to be taken to Northwoods Humane Society.
