Dennis Dean Mell, age 80, of Stacy, Minnesota passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Eagle Ridge Assisted Living in Osceola, Wisconsin.

Dennis was born on July 12, 1943 to Fred and Delilah (Borg) Mell in Rush City, Minnesota. Dennis enlisted in the United States Navy on November 20, 1962, serving on the USS Stoddard. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and First Good Conduct Medal. Dennis was honorably discharged on November 9, 1966.  After the Navy, he started his career in construction. Dennis was a local 49’er working for Shafer Construction for 30 plus years as a heavy equipment operator.  

Dennis had many hobbies, with woodworking being his favorite. He also had an extremely quick wit about him, and everyone enjoyed being around him. He will be dearly missed by many. 

Dennis is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Delilah; son  Aaron; brothers Wendell, Raymond and Clyde, and sisters Shirley, Sonia and twin sister Doris. 

Visitation will be held from 4 -6 pm, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom, Minnesota. A private burial will be held at a later date.
