Structural Buildings of MN Inc. is making progress on a shelter/restrooms and storage building at Ki Chi Saga County Park, south of Lindstrom. The project is $161,000 funded through American Recovery Program Act. Rowe Sewer Service was also awarded the new septic system project at approximately $19,588. The county parks director Joe Tart and Environmental Services Director Kurt Schneider report the county has been applying ARPA and Capital Improvement Plan monies towards a number of ongoing repair and maintenance and special tasks at Ki Chi Saga Park. Turf care is now built into the operations budget, there is a new swing set for $15,000, electric service was upgraded for $8,000, parking lot gravel and other enhancements were $14,000 and there are dugouts, fencing and other improvements in recent years for $91,000. The 2024 season will bring construction of a three mile biking trail loop using $175,000 ARPA funds.
