Glen Boyce



Glen Anderson Boyce, 80, of North Branch, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in Isanti, MN. He is survived by his son Evan Boyce (Joseph Hager), of Coon Rapids, MN, daughter Jillian Anderson (Matthew), of North Branch, MN, brothers Gene "Bud" Boyce (Nancy), of Cumberland, VA, and Hardis "Hardy" Boyce  (Penny), of North Branch, MN, and sister Diane Perrault (Steven), of North Branch, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maxwell and Ethel Boyce, of North Branch, MN, his wife, Nancy Boyce, brother Gordon "Gordy" Boyce (Betty) of Hinckley, MN, and sister, Annette Dresel of Redwood City, CA.

Glen was born on June 30, 1943, in Rush City, MN. He graduated from North Branch High School in 1961, and served in the United States Navy from 1961-1965, before studying Political Science and American History at St. Cloud State University. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in 1969, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1972. He passed his Bar Examination and was made an official attorney by the U.S. District Court of MN in 1973. A dedicated attorney, Glen worked for many years for Hennepin County in Downtown Minneapolis, before opening his private practice, Boyce Law Office, in North Branch. He continued his career there until his retirement. Glen married his wife, Nancy Johnson, on June 7, 1968. His son, Evan, was born in 1984, and his daughter, Jillian was born in 1989. Glen enjoyed many things, including American History, good music, good food, cooking, the outdoors, camping, family vacations, and laughing and spending time with his friends and loved ones. A longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch and an eloquent orator, he served on the Church Council, and would often read lessons for church services. Glen is loved, and will be remembered and missed.

A service in celebration of Glen's life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Luncheon to follow, at Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch.
