Frank Lindstrom
Frank Allen Lindstrom, age 87, of Center City, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, surrounded by his lovely bride of 58 years, Barbara and his two favorite daughters. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.
Frank was born on the family farm near Kroon Lake, south of Lindstrom, MN to Elmer and Mabel Lindstrom. He had one older sister, Irene Axtell. In 1955 he graduated from Chi-Hi in Center City.
He then began his road construction career with JW Craig. Throughout subsequent years, he continued working with various other construction businesses building roads in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Frank and Barbara were married on September 4, 1965. Together they had two daughters, Becky (Mark) Erickson, of Chisago City and Carrie (Randy) Fricke, also of Chisago City. They and another couple co-developed a beautiful 12 lot island (Calendar Isle) on the shores of North Center Lake and made it their home.
He loved spending time with his family, camping, fishing, hunting, woodworking, watching his grandchildren play sports, as well as watching the MN Twins and Vikings.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents and sister. Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara, his two daughters, five grandchildren, Zachary, Reide (Seth), Joshua, Brooke, and Sydni and one great-granddaughter, Emersyn.
The family wishes to express its gratitude to the Hospice of the Midwest care team for their loving support during this time and plans to hold a private family funeral service.
A celebration of life will be held with friends and family in June.
