The Minnesota State Patrol is not identifying a female driver in the two vehicle crash, that happened just outside of Taylors Falls, Saturday, March 30 about 1 p.m.  She was westbound on Highway 8 at Valley View Lane— operating a Ford Taurus and accompanied by a female passenger, 62, from Luck, Wisconsin.

Authorities report the Taurus crashed head on with a Traverse, that crossed the centerline, eastbound.  Authorities also report the passenger was transported to Regions.

The Traverse was driven by a 42 year old female, from Elk River.  She was taken to St. Croix Hospital.

A raccoon reported to be ill was dispatched by a Lakes area officer March 28.

A county patrol pursuit of a fleeing speeding vehicle started on Forest Blvd. near Stacy about 2:20 a.m. March 28.  Isanti County picked up the case as the vehicle went west  and then north on Falcon and  turned onto Potomac. The car went into a ditch and the subject was detained. He should expect charges on driving after revocation, fifth degree possession and fleeing.

Lakes Area wrote approximately a dozen on-street parking tickets for the week. Overnight parking in Lindstrom and Chisago City  is not allowed in order to keep streets clear for plows, until April 15.  Offenders were split between Lindstrom and Chisago City.  

Wyoming City Police announced the overnight parking restrictions in Wyoming were expiring as of April 1.  

North Branch also has parking restrictions expiring April 1 under city ordinance.
