The weather did not cooperate Monday, April 8 with teachers’ plans to allow area school kids to be outside and indirectly view the solar eclipse. The sky was clouded over and there was no dry ground to gather groups of students on...one class at Chisago Lakes Middle School posed with their pinhole viewer boxes they made. Minnesota experienced the peak of the eclipse phenomenon at 2:02 p.m. but the “path of totality” was across the mid-section of the U.S. from south Texas to the northeast, so locally there was only a partial view possible anyway.
