PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

THURSDAY, May 2, 2024 at 6:30 P.M.
LINDSTROM CITY HALL, 13292 Sylvan Ave., Lindstrom, MN

Notice is hereby given that the City of Lindstrom Planning Commission will be holding a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 2, at 6:30 p.m. to consider a handful of minor housekeeping amendments within City Code Chapter 151 Zoning.

The amendments incorporate clarifications in Sections:

151.04.55 regarding tree preservation;
151.05.52 regarding accessory structure exemptions for public and institutional uses;
151.05.63 regarding winter parking restrictions for recreational vehicles and equipment;
151.02.03 regarding zero lot line dwellings;
154.01.11 adding the definition of “mean ground level” for the determination of building height;
151.02.33 regarding the rear setback for decks with respect to the ordinary high water level;
151.07.18 regarding wall sign regulations for buildings with more than one frontage;
151.05.11 regarding the maximum area of an attached accessory structure on any single-family lot; and
151.02.21 clarifying that only one use or principal structure is allowed per lot unless otherwise approved by Council.

This meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at Lindstrom City Hall, at 13292 Sylvan Ave. Interested parties are encouraged to attend. Written comments may be emailed to [email protected] or may be sent via mail to Lindstrom City Hall (13292 Sylvan Ave., Lindstrom, MN 55045). Comments received prior to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 will be included in the meeting packet materials, while those received after will be shared at the meeting. Both oral and written testimony from the public will be considered at the time of the hearing. Copies of the application materials are available for viewing online or at City Hall.
