Dennis LaPalme
Dennis Charles LaPalme, born on June 10, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and creativity. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his cherished wife, his brother and great nephew. Dennis is survived by his devoted son, Timothy LaPalme, and his loving daughter, Brenda Jepsen. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren, Kaitlin Jepsen and Charles Jepsen, and his special friend, Ha Le.
Dennis was a proud graduate of De La Salle High School, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with dedication and hard work. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at 3M, where he worked for 38 years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
In September of 1965, he married his wife in Minneapolis. In 1976, Dennis and his wife embraced the joys and challenges of rural life by moving to North Branch, Minnesota. There, they embarked on the adventure of managing a hobby farm and greenhouse business, cultivating not only plants but also a deep connection to the land and community.
Dennis was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. A man of many talents, Dennis found joy in a variety of hobbies. He was an accomplished woodworker, painter, and stained glass artist. He loved music, often filling his home with the sounds of his singing and playing. His artistic spirit captured beauty in every form. Dennis was also an avid gardener and beekeeper, nurturing life in all its forms. He was a man of nature and enjoyed the many creatures that he shared his land with.
Dennis Charles LaPalme will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, warmth, creativity, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, a testament to a life well-lived.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in North Branch with a visitation one hour prior to mass at church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church in North Branch.
