The Minnesota State Patrol reports a two vehicle head on crash in Koochiching County, reported at 11 a.m. Sunday, February 4, left a 27 year old North Branch man dead.

The State Patrol identified the victim driving an F150 2021 pickup truck as Joseph Michael Carlson.  A passenger age 27, from Shoreview, also died.

The driver of the second truck, a 24-year-old male from Wisconsin, also was killed.   Three passengers in this vehicle were hurt.

According to early investigation Carlson was on Highway 1, just west of County Road 15 in Koochiching County, headed east bound and a Silverado 2016 pickup traveling in the opposite direction collided with the F150.  Road conditions were dry, the Patrol reported.  The crash is under investigation.
