Betty Ann Zeleny (Kral), age 89, passed away on February 11, 2024.  

Betty was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 6, 1934, and her family moved to Meadowlands, Minnesota when she was 2 years old.  There she lived on a farm until she graduated and moved to the Twin Cities.  She married Stanley Zeleny, and the raised a family of seven children in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota.  She worked at Control Data for 21 years and after retiring, they moved to North Branch, Minnesota and then to Lindstrom, Minnesota.

Betty loved gardening, flowers and vegetables and always had the most beautiful gardens.  Betty and Stan loved to make wood crafts together and sell them at local craft shows and give to family.  After retiring, they spent time at Spider Lake in Marcell, Minnesota relaxing and fishing.  She also was an avid reader, loved feeding her birds and squirrels, and enjoyed painting.  Betty also volunteered at the Family Pathways food shelf for 15 years.  She was also a member of the VFW 3044 Ladies Auxiliary in Cotton, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley, grandchildren Katie Anderson and Aaron Bradley, sister Anna, brother Charlie, and her many cats and dogs throughout the years.

Betty is survived by her children Steve (Kari) Zeleny, Ann Bradley, Terry (Steve) Anderson, Dave (Dawn) Zeleny, Wende (Dan) Dahlgren, Joe (Lynn) Zeleny, and Scott (Chris) Zeleny. She had many grandkids and great grandkids.  She is also survived by her siblings Vlasta Skala and Rosemary Degnan, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.    

Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday, February 22,  at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Visitation one hour prior to service at church.  A private family interment will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Condolences may be expressed online at www. grandstrandfh.com
