The Wildcats and the Hastings Raiders skated to a 3-3 overtime tie Tuesday, February 6 at Chisago Lakes Arena.  The Raiders outshot the Wildcats 44-27 for the game, but Wildcats goalie Corbin Shandley helped to keep his team in the game by stopping 44 of the 47 shots he faced.

In the first period,  Lucas Ide scored a power play goal for the Wildcats, assisted by Quinlyn Ryan and Dustin Palewicz.  And Griffin Perreault put one in the back of the net, with the assists going to Palewicz and Ty Gajeski.   Hastings scored once, and the Wildcats led 2-1 after the first period.  In the second period, the Raiders outshot the Wildcats 13-5, but Shandley stopped all 13 shots to preserve the 2-1 Wildcat lead.  Hastings tied it with a goal early in the third period, but the Wildcats got the lead back on a goal midway through the period by Jack Bakken, assisted by Ryan and Max Bobrowski, to put the Wildcats up 3-2.  Hastings scored with little time left in regulation to tie it at 3-3 and neither team scored in overtime.

 Chisago Lakes 3, Minneapolis 1

Wildcat goalie Corbin Shandley stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced to lead the Wildcats to a 3-1 win over the Minneapolis Novas on Thursday, February 8 at the Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis.

Max Bobrowski scored to get the Wildcats on the board at 3:41 of the first period, assisted by Jack Bakken and Ben Kerkow.  Bakken scored a power play goal at 9:15 to double the Wildcat lead to 2-0, with the assists going to Kerkow and Bobrowski.  Playing with a two-man advantage midway through the second period, the Novas scored a power play goal to cut the Wildcat lead to 2-1.  The score stayed that way until Landon Kerkow put one in the back of the net, assisted by Quinlyn Ryan, to give the Wildcats a little breathing room with four minutes to go in the game, and the Wildcats held off the Novas to pick up the win.  The Novas outshot the Wildcats 34-24 for the game.
