The candidate filing period for township officials opened January 3.  Deadline to get your name on the ballot for March elections is January 17.  The voting is March 12.

Supervisor and/or clerk candidates file with the township clerk where they live.

Nessel Township opted for a ballot schedule that aligns with the general election held in November.  This is the exception among the townships in Chisago County and filing to be on the ballot for a Nessel elected office is August 1-15.

Filings are open in—

Amador, has one supervisor seat expiring Clerk and treasurer are appointed posts in this township.

Fish Lake has one supervisor seat expiring in 2024.  The clerk and treasurer in this township are appointed.

Franconia, one supervisor seat is expiring

Chisago Lake Township, one supervisor seat and the clerk post

Sunrise, two supervsior seats and the clerk post expire for 2024 and Sunrise has a planning commission with two seats opening.
