If you happened to be awake a little after midnight May 29 and wondered why the drones, a patrol plane and sheriff squads were in the vicinity of Ivywood Road in Chisago City, they were in search of a suspect who had been falsely contacting 9-1-1. The person sought was not found this evening.

May 30 a disorderly student at Chisago Lakes Middle School was detained by Lakes Area Police and upon request of parents the subject was connected to a healthcare provider.  Incident call came in about 11:36 a.m.

June 1 a reported burglary at 9:24 a.m. sent Lakes Area officers and sheriff personnel to an address on 292nd, in rural Lindstrom, and a suspect was located near a shed at the golf course not far away. The 35-year-old man is being held on pending charges.

June 6 sheriff patrol, National Park Service and Taylors Falls fire/rescue were involved in assisting boaters who went into the St. Croix River about 1:47 p.m. in the area near the canoe rental landing.  No serious injury reported in the successful response.

June 6 a structure fire reported at a home on Tern Avenue about 2 a.m. Home-

owner was awakened and helped to get out. No detail on damage.

June 5 a power outage attributed to a lightning strike to a power pole on Lofton in Chisago City. Reported about 10 p.m.  Xcel and Lakes Area Police at the scene.  No fire reported.

June 4 a “fight” outside an address on Schulze Avenue in Center City, reported about 20 minutes past midnight. Sheriff personnel and Lakes Area Police were at the scene and the county as contracted law enforcement is looking into incident.

June 3 a complaint sent Lakes Area officers to an address in the Cedar Ridge neighborhood regarding too many fowl on a property and odor, etc.  Lindstrom code allows no more than five birds total and there are nine at this reportedly unpermitted address.
