Congressman Stauber to be joined by Wyoming Congresswoman Harriet Hageman During Upcoming Gray Wolf Listening Session
On Monday, March 18, Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) will host a gray wolf listening session in Forest Lake along with Congresswoman Harriet Hageman (Wyoming-at-large). This event will be open to the public. Stauber has invited Congresswoman Hageman to co-host this listening session because of her extensive legal background pursuing litigation relating to the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
As a lawyer, Congresswoman Hageman represented groups who sought to remove protections for the gray wolf in Wyoming under the ESA and allow the state to enact a managed hunt. In Wyoming, gray wolves were removed from the endangered species list in 2017 and management of the species is led by the state.
