Mary E. Karnowski, age 88, of Eagan, Minnesota, died March 4, 2024.  She was born on June 15, 1935 to parents William A. Meyer Sr. and Mary C. Hinderks in South St. Paul, the youngest of six children.  

She lived in South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights until 1981 and then moved up north to Lindstrom and then Chisago City until 2022.  

She has called Eagan home until 2024.  Mary was also the co-owner of Lakeside Deli in Center City in the early 80’s, and then worked at the Community Market in Lindstrom, and a charter owner of Homestead Co-Op in Chisago City.  

She was a long-time volunteer with Fairview Auxiliary, and before that with the VFW Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her husbands; Eugene White, Jim Trudeau and Harold Karnowski; all of her siblings Bill, John and Tom Meyer; Anna La Brosse, Frances Huerth and their spouses; daughter Jacqueline Knight; stepson Mark Karnowski

Mary is survived by her daughter Carol White; grandsons James Knight & Eugene Knight; stepsons Tom Karnowski (Sandi) and Scott, Michael Trudeau (Karen), Ted Trudeau and Dan Trudeau (Cherie); step daughter in law Kathleen; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; along with dozens of cherished nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota. Visitation one hour prior to service at church.
