Thomas Warner

Thomas F. Warner, age 82, passed away with family by his side on April 20, 2024, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and community spirit.

Born on June 17, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, to George and Helen (Krisch) Warner, Tom was a natural storyteller and comedian.

A proud graduate of John Marshall High School in Cleveland and Ohio State University, Tom also served in the United States Air Force. After 40+ years in sales, and retiring with API Group, Inc. Tom summed his career up by saying, “I didn’t have a job, it was more of a lifestyle!”

Tom had a zest for life that was evident in his range of interests and hobbies. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing trips with friends and family. He was also an enthusiastic hunter, joining friends and family on hunting adventures, where he became the constant source of entertaining stories that will be retold for years. When he was not enjoying nature, Tom loved to engage in lively discussions with friends, meeting up to "solve all the world's problems" over a cup of coffee or a round of golf. He loved to charcoal grill a good steak and tell stories while tending to the bonfire lakeside.

Throughout his life, Tom was an active and engaged community member, dedicating his time to various organizations and causes. Always eager to be involved, whichever city he lived in, he was a proud member of the Chisago Lakes Lions Club, Siren WI Lions Club, and Lake Havasu City Lions Breakfast Club. Tom was also involved in Chisago County Ducks Unlimited, Lindstrom City Council, the Lindstrom City Zoning Committee, and a member at Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen (Krisch) Warner; his brother Bill Warner and his son Tom Warner. As Tom reunites with his loved ones who have gone before him, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit and humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Tom leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Michele Warner, who stood by his side with unwavering love and compassion during his final years. Their bond was a testament to true love, filled with laughter, shared jokes and memories that will forever be cherished.

Tom is further survived by his brother Ed, and his wife Etta Warner; his son Tim Warner; his daughter Judy Grussing and her husband Craig, along with their children Caden and Ian; his stepdaughter Denise Warner and her children Cassie and Michael; and his stepson Dusty Dircks, his wife Carrie, and their children Carter, Cecelia, and Ruby. Tom was also loved by many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and brother and sisters in-law who will continue to celebrate his life.

Memorial service for Tom will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church located at 13025 Newell Ave, Lindstrom, MN. Greetings one hour prior to service. Graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom with luncheon to follow.

Flowers may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Chisago Lakes Lions Club or Trinity Lutheran Church.
