Over the past week the county deputy cars were sent to assist at a vehicle fire, in Nessel, at Amble Avenue and Rush Point Drive about 9:15 a.m. The incident involved a garbage truck and passenger vehicle. Rush City fire responded. No serious injury reported.

A motorcycle and Fed Ex truck were involved in a collision on Furuby Road, rural Shafer. Reported about 7:33 p.m.  The truck operator was brought to St. Croix Medical Center by private car and the cycle driver refused transport, but was checked out at the scene by first responders. No details available on cause of the collision.

A resident on Lakelawn Drive, Lindstrom, told authorities two kids pulled up and tied a small aluminum fishing boat to the complainant’s dock around mid-afternoon and they ran off saying they broke down on the lake. They had a shepherd breed dog with them. There is no registration number and boat owner is unknown.

May 12 Lakes Area Police notified and public works dispatched for tree blocking Jeffrey Ave. Reported about 7 p.m.

May 11 Gas line leak at address on North Meadow in Lindstrom, about 3:30 p.m. Xcel and Lindstrom Fire responded. No injury reported.

May 10  Middle School student taken to regional juvenile center by Lakes Area Police after incident reported about 11 a.m.

May 9 Illegal use of an UTV in Chisago City and 46 year old male cited.

May 7 Alarm sounding at Dahl Place apartments Chisago City about 9:20 p.m.  Lakes Area found a smoke detector unit outside on balcony going off. Apartment was being remodeled and was empty.

Crash involving four vehicles at Newell Ave. and Olinda in Lindstrom, reported at 6:50 p.m. One car towed, no injury reported.

May 6 Disturbance reported from the Friday prior at the middle school in Lindstrom.  Student was wearing torn athletic shorts that exposed his privates and student complained.
