Gerald Wille
Gerald Alfred Wille, age 80, of Lindstrom, Minnesota, passed away on May 25, 2024.
Gary was born to Walter and Rosella Wille in Wanda, Minnesota and was the oldest of 11 children. As a young child, he moved with his family to a farm in Center City, Minnesota and then to Lindstrom after his parents retired from the farm. Gary resided in Lindstrom until his death.
Gary graduated from Lindstrom Chi Hi and worked building silos until he was drafted in the US Army. He served from 1965-1967 and was stationed in Germany as military police.
Gary worked most of his life as a truck-driver delivering fuel and was employed until retirement at Wally Carlson and Sons in Lindstrom. Gary enjoyed harassing the people at work but especially enjoyed visiting and sharing jokes with the farmers along his route.
Gary was an avid bowler and Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan. TV sports always included loud couch-coaching and commentary. He loved spending time with family, teasing his nieces and nephews, casino trips, jig-saw puzzles and most of all loved playing cards. He took the games very seriously and was extremely competitive. He was able to play games of 500 with family and members of Lindstrom Senior Living the week of his death.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents; little brother Randall; sisters Diane, Carol and Barbara; brothers-in-law, Robert Schneider, Roger DeSpeigelaire, Joe Fangmeier and Richard Schaible.
Gary is survived by brothers, Duane (Margaret) and Donald (Barbara); and sisters, Marilyn DeSpeigelaire, Judy (Gary) Ross, Sandra Schaible, Rosanne (Ray) Dreckman; brother-in-law, Duncan Waller, many nieces and nephews and special friend, Mary Jo Miron.
Gary was a longtime member of St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at church.
