Tom passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024 with his family at his side holding his hand, after some complicated health issues.
He was born on April 28, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His family moved to St. Paul, Minnesota in the Midway area. There, along with his brother Jim and friends, he spent many hours tinkering on and rebuilding cars.
He was married to Delores (Dee) Ellis on June 14, 1969. They moved to Center City, Minnesota in 1977 to be in a rural setting. Their son Brian was born in 1982, the joy of their lives.
Tom and Dee did some traveling throughout the United States and visited most of the states. They hosted many family gatherings where Tom was the master of the grill.
He was a member of St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church and had a strong Christian faith.
Tom retired as a master machinist mechanic for the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission.
He adopted a stray kitty (Tigger) who was his buddy in the garage for the last 18 years. He could fix most anything and would lend a helping hand to anyone whenever he could.
Tom was one of the earliest members of the MRSA (Minnesota Street Rod Association) and never missed the Back to the 50’s event at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds each year.
He is preceded in death by brother James.
