North Branch opened their season this year with a 3-0 loss to Grand Rapids, but they got the last laugh, ending the Thunderhawks season in the Section 7AAA semifinals earlier this week on Monday, October 28.

The Vikings had an early scare, losing the first set 25-19, and going into extra points in the second set.

But, they conquered Grand Rapids in that second set, winning 27-25, and then they bested the T’Hawks the rest of the way, winning 25-22 in the third set, and finishing them off with a 25-21 win in the fourth set.
