Gladys Loger

Gladys Loger, July 18, 1939 – November 12, 2024. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys Loger, age 85, of North Branch, MN. Gladys passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Gladys was born on July 18, 1939, to Bill and Maggie (Austin) Sr., and grew up in a close-knit family. On September 8, 1956, she married her soulmate, Leonard Loger Sr., and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. They began their family in Ely, MN, eventually settling in North Branch in 1965, where they created a warm and welcoming home for their children and future generations.

Gladys was a devoted homemaker and wife. She was known for her beautiful gardens, her exceptional skills in baking and canning, and her deep love for family traditions. Holidays were especially meaningful, as Gladys brought joy and warmth to every celebration, making each occasion unforgettable.

One of her most delightful passions was her Campbell Soup Collection, a playful yet significant symbol of her love for life's small treasures. Gladys also enjoyed singing along to her favorite country western songs, dancing in her kitchen, and indulging in the occasional thrill of a casino visit. She loved cheering for the Vikings and Twins, often placing friendly bets on games, and never missed her favorite soap operas.

The greatest joy of Gladys’ life was her family. She had a special way with children and passed down her love of fishing, berry-picking, and other cherished hobbies to them, ensuring her spirit would live on through their lives.

Gladys was a woman of deep faith and unwavering kindness. She touched the lives of all who knew her, offering love, support, and wisdom. While her presence will be profoundly missed, her legacy of love and joy will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends.

Gladys is survived by her children: Elaine (Q) Crowe, Leonard Loger, Roselee Williams, Gary Loger, and Cindy (Rick) Staples; her sister, Marion Nelson; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Loger Sr.; her parents, Bill and Maggie Austin; her siblings, Dorothy Garbow, Christina Benjamin, and Bill Austin; her granddaughter, Tara; and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, where friends and family will gather to honor and celebrate her beautiful life.

Gladys’ love, light, and laughter will be deeply missed but will live on in the memories and hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Grandstrand Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Branch.
