Chisago County held the annual Children’s Water Festival on September 26 at Wild Mountain, Taylors Falls. The event is to provide youth with a hands-on learning experience about the relationship and interdependence of water to all living things. Topics included fish and their biology, the water cycle, how to identify and avoid spreading invasive species, watershed workings, how do we get our drinking water, pollutants, boating safety on the water, and more. Students from fifth grade, mostly districts in Chisago County, attended the day-long event which featured 29 different learning stations.
