The City of North Branch is holding a public meeting on a new development that proposes creation of one commercial lot and 342 residential sites.  As the Responsible Governing Unit (RGU) the city will present the plat October 22, at 7 p.m. at city hall and all interested persons are welcome.

The Meadows Ridge plat is 100 feet east of the south end of Chain Lake. It is off Flink Avenue, north of 400th and south of 410th (on the west side of 35.)  There are 107 acres of cropland and about seven acres of woods and other smaller pockets of various cover being impacted.  

This project is being brought forward by LGI Homes MN LLC based in Anoka.

There is a mandatory Environmental Assessment Worksheet filed with the state that citizens are invited to comment on and offer observations.  The entire EAW is published in the October 2 EQB state “Monitor” and the comment period generally runs for 30 days beyond this date.  Comments may be directed to Nate Sondrol at North Branch, nathans@ci. north-branch.mn.us.
