Mary Louise Fedje (nee Sandgren), loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother passed away at the age of 94, on October 13, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren; brother, Alvin “Pete” Sandgren; sister, Donna White.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Peter) Riehle; son, Robert “Bob” Fedje; grandchildren, Danielle Lord, Stephanie Riehle, Jacob (Catie) Riehle; great grandchildren, Jase Lord, Miles Riehle.

Mary, sentimentally known as “Mick” or “Auntie Mick” to family members, grew up in the Scandia/Chisago City Areas, spending over 65 years of her married life living in Wyoming on Fedje Turkey Farm.

Mary had the “greenest” of thumbs, her large flower and vegetable gardens showed her love of nature and nurturing.  She loved cats and dogs and would take in any strays that came to her door.

Her love of family was top of her list.  She loved family parties and any reason to get together. From lunches out with friends and family to dancing with her husband, Warren, well into their 80’s; Mary loved life.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Private interment at Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake.
