Monticello’s Isabel Mahoney out dueled Chisago Lakes’ Annika Hall at the top of the Mississippi 8 Conference individual podium, but Hall and the Wildcats got the last laugh on Tuesday, October 15 at Bertram Park in Monticello when they won the team conference title, repeating as M8C champions.
Mahoney finished first in the race with a time of 17:50.1 while Hall was second in 18:06.5, but Hall’s teammates had a great meet as well, securing the crown. Kaia Osmundson finished in fifth place with a time of 19:33.3, Lauren Kowarsch and Mataya Malek finished 16th and 17th and Averiana Gellerman came in 20th.
The total tally for CL was 60 points while Cambridge-Isanti finished with 76 points in second place. Zimmerman came in third place.
For the boys, Kaden Osmundson and Remy Larsen were the top finishers, coming in 11th and 12th. North Branch’s Jordan Stumm was the top Viking finisher in 12th place.
