Dozens of overnight parking violations cited and vehicle owners warned over the week. There is no parking on most city streets overnight from now until spring. There are temporary allowances that can be made if you contact your local police department and explain a special situation should there be a need for a vehicle to be on a street short term.
November 30
Alarm for possible carbon monoxide presence at a home on 314th responded to by Lakes Area and Lindstrom Fire. The report came in about 5:30 a.m. All clear given.
November 29
A Lakes Area officer was allegedly assaulted while responding to a complaint of juveniles and an underage party at a Chisago City address, about 9:45 p.m. One juvenile was taken in for medical monitoring.
November 28
A person suffered a suspected overdose at an address in Chisago City, about 8 p.m. Person recovered after Narcan administered, and was not transported.
November 26
An accident at Jasper Court and Highway 8, reported about 9 a.m. A 24 year old male was cited but no details immediately available. One person was transported.
SWAT asked for police aid when executing a search warrant at an address in Harris on 430th Street. The property was surrounded about 6 a.m. and is being investigated actively by the county.
November 25
Power was impacted briefly when a utility pole tripped its fuse causing a “flicker” on properties on Broadway and St Croix Avenue, Lindstrom about 10:44 p.m.
Three incidents of theft reported at an area grocer. Lakes Area Police responded and made arrests and/or notified parties they were trespassed from being on site.

Thanks so much to the folks that put on the Taylors Falls Lighting Festival last Friday. One of our favorite events to take in, the evening is a magical night of Christmas lights and a parade featuring floats all decorated for Christmas. The streets were packed with families enjoying the brisk evening activities.
