December 12 area law enforcement went to an address on Blue Heron Trail in Fish lake Township about 5 p.m., on a call of a domestic incident allegedly involving a firearm.  The suspect fled but was detained in Blaine and held for charges. The investigation is on-going.

Lakes Area Police were advised there was a victim of a scam who was told by someone impersonating their bank staff that a deposit was made into their account in error. They could balance out the mistake by getting gift cards and sending them to an address, which the person did.  The businesses involved are in Coon Rapids.  They lost $4,800.

December 8 there was partially burned paper towels found in a sink in a bathroom at Chisago Lakes High School, reported at 2:20 p.m.  Then, Dec 12 the Lindstrom Fire Department went to the high school for what was thought to be malfunctioning fire alarms, which firefighters re-set. Two incidents were reported at noon and 2 p.m.
